Select the maps you want to stop from the maps list and then choose Cancel from the Actions menu. It's that easy. Please note: 1) a partial map report will be saved if at least one host was detected before the map was canceled and 2) it's not possible to cancel a map when the status is "Loading".
No. You must wait until the map is finished (or canceled) to view results.
The status on the maps list will show "Finished". At this time you can select View from the Quick Actions menu to see the full results in an HTML report. If you have notifications turned on you'll get an email. This is especially useful if you logged out of the application or went on to do other things while the map was running.
This depends on whether you have the Map Notification option enabled in your account. Select User Profile below your user name (in the top right corner) and then go to the Options section to see and edit notification options.
Go to Scans > Maps. Identify the finished map you're interested in and select View Graphic Mode from the Quick Actions menu.
View map results by choosing View Report from the Quick Actions menu. You'll get an HTML report of the findings. Identify the map you want to download and choose Download from the Quick Actions menu. Several download formats are available, including PDF, XML, MHT and CSV.
Map results are saved in your account for a period of time defined by your storage settings. Go to Scans > Setup > Storage to view the storage settings and update if you want.
Yes. From the maps list, identify the map you want to run again and select Relaunch from the Quick Actions menu. We'll do our best to prefill the map settings to match the original map. We may not be able to prefill settings if there were changes in your account like the option profile was renamed or deleted. Consider setting up a scheduled map to have your maps run automatically. Go to Scans > Schedules > New > Schedule Map.
Run a template based map report to compare 2 saved maps on the same target. The map report will show you which hosts were added to your network and which hosts were removed. Go to VM/VMDR > Reports > New > Map Report. (Or Run a map template from the templates list.)
Run the Unknown Device Report. The Unknown Device Report can be run as is or it can be customized. By default, it will show you all the rogue devices for a particular domain, meaning it will show you any device detected that was not already approved for the domain. It compares the approved host list for the domain (something you must configure) to the saved map results. Learn more
