The Library provides pre-configured options to help you get started with using the service and its many features. These configurations for vulnerability management are included at this time: option profiles, report templates and search lists. You can import these configurations into your account and use them as-is or edit them as needed. Note the Library is updated regularly with new configurations.
When you import a configuration from the Library, you become the configuration's owner and this gives you the ability to edit the configuration.
Managers and Unit Managers have the option to make the configuration globally available to users. Managers can make the configuration available to all users, and Unit Managers can make the configuration available to users in their business unit. A global configuration for all users can be edited by Managers, and a global configuration available to business unit users can be edited by Managers or Unit Managers that have responsibility for the same business unit as the configurations.
Option Profiles define the parameters for vulnerability scans. To import option profiles, go to Scans > Option Profiles and select Import from Library from the New menu. You can also import option profiles while launching or scheduling scans.
Report Templates define reporting parameters such as source, data filters and display options. To import report templates, go to Reports > Templates and select Import from Library from the New menu. You can also import report templates while running template-based scan reports.
Search Lists are custom lists of vulnerabilities that you can save and add to business objects in your environment. To import search lists, go to your list of search lists. You can manage search lists from the Scans, Reports or KnowledgeBase sections. In these sections, click the Search Lists tab. Then select Import from Library from the New menu. You can also import search lists while adding search lists to other configurations including option profiles and report templates.
